Welcome to We Have We Have Ways of Making You Talk with me, Al-Marie and James Holland and today given the global crisis we find ourselves in

We thought there was no other place to start morning James. How are you? Yeah, well right what an incredible few days it's been

hasn't it I know I don't know about you but I've been um I just absolutely at Gog by what what's

happening yes and it's been it's been fascinating looking at the differences but also the

parallels and the patterns of human behavior and all the rest of it.

One of the differences, and I because I think dwelling on the differences is important.

One of the big differences is the sheer amount of, you know, what appears to be information coming from what appears to be the battlefield. You know we live at an age, after all command and control is a

central part of how you run an offensive like this isn't it? But you need to know

where your guys are and what they're doing. But when it looks like the entire world knows where your guys are and what they're doing as well, how you run an offensive, and obviously there's all sorts of day and I'm not going to do

as to what actually they're trying to achieve and all that sort of stuff.

You know and obviously it's a very early day some sort of low I'm'm not going to do is say oh it's clear who's winning or who's losing.

But what's really amazing is the shit, you know, when you look at, when you let's if you compare this to say the invasion of France in May 1940 you know we're

reliant on what two hours of footage that then gets chopped down in footage banks to, you know, inevitably the wrong tank

rumbling across your screen and a stuka going,

and a hurricane firing.

And the hurricane's flashing canvas machine gun covers and and yet the
