Firstly, the stunning counter-offensive from Ukrainian forces which drove Russians back in a huge area

of southwestern Ukraine, inflicting what was described as Russia's worst military humiliation since

the Second World War.

Then a shocking escalation of the war with Putin ordering direct drone attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure and declaring martial law in four occupied Ukrainian provinces.

At the time of recording, regions including Kyiv, Denypro and Sumi have been badly hit with

thousands of towns left without electricity as winter approaches.

Ukrainians are being advised to charge everything and stock up on blankets and
