Today we'll be continuing our conversation with Eugene Per Year from Breakthrough News.

Eugene is an host of the Freedom Side on Breakthrough News. He's also

the host, the anchor of a daily podcast called The Punch Out. We're going to talk about the two

speeches by President Vladimir Putin of Russia, President Joe Biden at the UN today, two speeches

showing that escalation is, in fact, on the agenda.

Eugene, welcome back.

Brian, thank you so much for having me.

Well, these are two speeches, really dramatic.

Of course, a couple of days ago, we all learned, the world learned that the Ukrainian government,

obviously at the direction of the United States,

at the direction of NATO, was able to carry out a very successful counteroffensive against

Russian forces that were in the northeast part of the country. It was a sizable part of

Ukrainian territory that was taken back, still pretty small compared to how much of what Russia actually

still possesses in the east and the Donbass. But obviously, this was another turning point.

And when I talked to you a week ago, after that counteroffensive, I said to you, it seemed to me

that the logic here is for a bigger war, a wider war, an escalating war,

because neither side is going to accept defeat.
