from the Middle East, a ceasefire announced between Hezbollah, a gangster organization, and the

IDF and the State of Israel. The question is, what is a ceasefire, given all the ceasefires over the years?

There are remarks that suggest that Israel has freedom of movement should it see a threat

building anywhere inside Lebanon. The Latani River is said to be an important line.

South of the Latani, there is not to be any Hezbollah activity that is suspicious.

However, these conditions are all very shaky.

Jeff, a very good evening to you.

You've been through many ceased fires in Lebanon.

What do you make of this one?

Well, good end, do you, John. In many ways, this ceasefire is not terribly dissimilar from the 2006

ceasefire, which ended the last major conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. As you suggest, John,

it calls for a pullback by Hezbollah to the north of the Latania River, which is about 30 kilometers from the Israeli border.

At the same time, Israeli forces pulling out of the small portion of Lebanon, they have occupied.

Both sides have 60 days to accomplish his particular military movement.

And as you suggest as well, John, the agreement allows Israel

the ability to respond should Hezbollah violate the agreement or, frankly, do anything that

it considers threatening in that particular area. Now, the agreement is between Israel and the

country of Lebanon, because after the Hezbalah forces moved north of Latani River,
