Welcome to syntax, the podcast with the tastiest web development treats out there. Today,

we've got an episode for you today on UI elements, basics, best practices, and built-ins.

Basically talking about things that are pretty common when you're building websites.

You've got, we had a whole show on the dialog box, but there's all kinds of different elements

that we use over and over again. Progress bars and file inputs and checkbox and sortable

and filterable selects. And there's all kinds of them out there. So we're going to kind of go

through a whole set of them and talk about what ones are available to us in the browser right now.

Maybe you need to reach reach for a library with some of these and ideally,

blue sky or whatever is going to be maybe we'll get these in the browser at some point.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a bit more primitives that didn't suck in the browser?

How are you doing today, Scott? Oh, hey, man, I'm doing good. Doing good. I have been

very inspired in some code stuff lately that I'm very excited to show you later, Wes.

I've been working with some new tech here and just building some fun things. You know,

when you get into like a fun problem and it really feels like you have so many potential

avenues to explore that are very exciting to you at any given point and it just pushes you into

solving those things and you know, you're not bogged down by like the weight of a project yet

or anything like that. So yeah, I've just just been really edge cases. The edge cases. I've been having

a lot of fun exploring with the idea that I'm exploring and at the same time, if I'm exploring

in UI stuff, I'm exploring in JavaScript stuff, I'm exploring in some more interesting things as well.

I'll talk about it later on, but you know, it just feels really good to be getting excited about
