Useless Information. Today's word of the day is commodities and no I'm not going to give you a long

lecture on how they work or how to invest in them in fact I'm far from an expert

on the topic.

Now if you're not exactly sure what a commodity is, and I'm sure there are many people that don't,

it's probably best, at least for the purpose of today's story,

to think of them as a raw material, you know, something that could be

purchase, process, and then turned into something else that we can buy.

Examples of commodities would be wheat, corn, cattle, oil, gold, you know, and so on.

The first time that I recall ever hearing about commodities was back in 1983.
