Let's set the table Las Vegas this weekend. UFC fight night. And you know, it's a pretty damn good one here on ESPN plus headline by heavy weights.

Allister over him against a slight betting favorite Alexander Volkov. Luke, we set the stage earlier this week for the storylines, the potential of an outside of a title shot for the winner of both here and their future plans and all things over him's legacy. But let's now get into this matchup. Alexander Volkov just a slight favorite coming in. Does that surprise you? Is that the right call? All things considered.

I mean, I think it surprises me a little bit, but the skepticism around over him is somewhat warranted. He's 41 years of age. He's not, but I have to say we haven't talked about this. It deserves to be noted.

There was a press conference yesterday for the folks who are at the attendance at the UFC Apex and they spoke to I think the main in the coming guys who are on this card and over him. And you want to talk about a guy at the end of his career and knows it and doesn't really have a problem talking about it.

There are so many times when you try to talk to an athlete from the media's perspective, we're bringing at retirement. He gets, you know, a little bit weird and, you know, they don't want to talk about it.

They think they're nowhere close. I've got five years left. You're like, dude, you don't have five months left. Much less five years. Over him seems to me to very much understand this is the end of the road. Maybe not so much this weekend, but it's pretty close.

If he loses on Saturday, I suspect that that might be it, but we'll have to see. Still, he doesn't have any problems talking about his like, listen, that all comes to an end. I had a great run. I want to see if I can make one more last push of it. And if not, I'm going to call today. I really appreciate that from him. Now to your question, I think that might factor in a little bit.

You know, Volkov has been surging, despite, you know, the fact that he lost the Curtis blades fight. And so, you know, he's tall. He's, he's durable. Even in the Derek Lewis fight, he was winning up until, you know, Lewis kind of hit the helm area. He's pretty good at this point. And what's interesting is, it's the thing I think I might be working against over NBC is that you've got two guys with a similar reach 80 inch reach.
