We're going to talk about the Gina Carrano Ronda Rousey fight, which is going to be coming up in May, just got booked, should be on Netflix, assuming these women both passed the concussion protocols and whatnot that they're going to have to undergo.

Billy, what caught my attention, what I didn't remember.

Gina Carrano retired in 2009, two years before Ronda Rousey even debuted.

She's 43.

Rousey's 39.

The opening ons got up as high as Rousey minus 700.

It came back down to around minus 400, Karano plus 300.

I saw Caposso, who we both love on Twitter.

He basically said Rousey's going to maller.

That was his take, a quick arm bar, and that'll be a wrap.

Is that your initial takeaway and impression of how you think that fight's going to play out?

Yeah, I thought I was going to have to like max bet it at like minus 600 or something on the Rousey side. And other friend of the podcast, Griff, who in the Action Network Discord said he saw some opening lines or some look ahead lines before it was announced with Rousey at minus 400. I was like, man, I'm going to like mortgage my house at minus 400. There's two parts of that. One, like the time difference, as you pointed out, where Rouse is just that much younger and closer to her career, she didn't even have an amateur fight before Carrano retired. The other thing is, though, they're, like, actually different eras. Like, the quality of women's MMA in the late aughts when Carrano was fighting was so far behind when Rousey was fighting, which is so far behind, you know, like Amanda Nunes or whatever.

But even if they were the same actual age, like dominating the era that Rousey did is infinitely more impressive than Gina Krono beating up, like, whoever they had for her.
