Hey, what's up, everyone? Happy 4th of July on this July 5th, 2023. It's time for your Wednesday edition of morning combat, not in Las Vegas of all places. How are you doing everyone?

My name is Luke Thomas. I joined you from the capital of status of needles right here in Washington DC joined by the gentleman this way on the screen goes by many names.

Disgusting introduction. Yeah, but rep in the band Luke, you know, all time great father's son moment last Friday at the live show in New Haven. I mean, you know, I didn't expect to come in here and tell you I just saw the best concert in the history of my life and happened to be my son's first concert.

But you know, sometimes Luke timing is perfect. You know what I mean? So score one for father's day late. Yeah, all right. Great. A bunch of people emailed me telling me like, Hey, if you wanted to get into my morning jacket, here are all the songs you should like, I gave a couple of them a try.

They seem like they're a good band live. I can certainly, I mean, it's not exactly my favorite kind of music, but they're.

They're the stuff I saw on YouTube. I kind of say it was actually pretty impressive. Like they're they have a good stage show.

Yeah, yeah, absolutely. They they have they have ramped up their state. They're at the peak of their powers. Look, they are like Yaya Rodriguez entering this featherweight title unification. Okay. They are here to kick some ass, but enjoy that.

And hey, what how about this? It's international fight week. Look, we don't need to be there to celebrate this. Okay.

Yeah, we don't we, well, we're even if we did, we are not there. So that's just the reality. We're not in Las Vegas this year. We did go last year.

But it's just didn't quite work out this time. So we're going to see how that goes. But there are a few announcements I want to make here along the way.

So I want to make that known if you want to the fuller preview. There it is. That's number one. I want to say number two BC. I want to point out we are going to be in studio together.

We are actually on Friday for Friday's MK and then for Saturday. Yes, I know all of our MMA fans are going to be watching 290 not telling them not to. But BC and I along with some special guests.

I think I think I should say other other commentators basically are going to be calling the prelims ringside for this upcoming Geron NS Royman Vigia fight BC. Yeah, I got a wonder you got to be feeling pretty good about this. Yeah.

Yeah, I fired up for it. Look, it so happens that it just comes on the same night as a massively big mixed martial arts card. But let me tell the MK viewers this.

We're going to knock the prelims out of the park on Saturday from showtime boxing. And then look, we are going to absolutely dominate this UFC 290 pay per view, including post fight coverage as only MK can do on a CBS sports HQ on the morning combat channel with the live rapid.

And instant analysis, whatever you want to call it. So look, we are we are a combat show that that that will bang on many, many levels on many platforms at the same time. Okay, we will reach around the sports to get good people what they need.

I mean, that's a weird way to describe it. But yes, those are things that we do. So just want to make that known. And what he is saying is also true following UFC 290 this weekend, we are going to have a live show for you guys from it.
