Hello, everybody. We are live from the Big Phil Palace in Aurora, Ontario, Canada on this lovely

Sunday morning. I'm here with the one, the only, the Sudbury man himself, Eric Marcotte, and we

are here to discuss everything that is and was UFC 288. Eric, how are you doing this morning?

I'm fantastic. We are live at 8 in the morning and for me this is basically my 8 p.m. So I am full

of energy. This is the first time I feel like I've ever had this much energy on a UFC post show,

but I'm also probably the only person in the world with this much energy right now. So

yes, we're like two ships passing in the night. I've been up for a couple hours. It doesn't

matter that I go to bed at one o'clock. My circadian rhythm or whatever you call it just kicks into

the gear 6 a.m. every single day. No alarm. And here I am on like four and a half hours sleep,

but that's okay. I've got coffee. I don't have the amount of energy that you have, but maybe close,

maybe close. Hey, this is another big return from retirement from you, right? Phil, you're really the

Terry Funk of Fodgasters here. I feel like I've still talked to you every second month or so.

Well, I mean, it seems like retirement returns is the theme of the show. You know, we saw

the return of Henry Cicudo. So it was only appropriate that we had another

all-timer return. And when I say all-timer, I don't mean like Hall of Fame or I just mean like,

you know, grizzled veteran. So yeah, we're here to talk about UFC 288, which took place from

the prudential center in Newark, New Jersey. UFC announcing a gate of 17,559 in attendance

and a gate of $5,182,210. Another huge event for the UFC. They can't seem to do wrong with any of

these pay-per-views. The event headlined, of course, by offending Bantamweight Champion,

Al Jermaine Sterling, taking on returning former Bantamweight and Flyweight Champion, Henry Cicudo.

So before we get into the action, Eric, just wanted to get your thoughts about this main event.
