We have indeed had some concerning developments in the last few days, developments that

of course have global implications. And yes, I'm talking about the U.S. and Israeli led strikes

on Iran. And of course, I know what the focus of this program is and what we talk about on

this show. And I know what my listeners

expect to hear, and we will be getting to all that, as we always do, here in just a few

minutes.

But I also feel obligated, morally, intellectually, and otherwise, to state right up front,

but there are times when it's harder for me to get into the zone, so to speak,

and to get into the mindset that one has to be in to talk about the unusual side of science
