Well, that doesn't come as a surprise to you.

Do you know the curse of being a snowflake?

The biggest curse of all is that your humanity compels you to feel sympathy,

even empathy for people, even when they behave in a fashion that suggests they wouldn't feel any for you.

I found myself, as the morning unfolded, I actually found myself feeling quite sorry for

Gavin Williamson. And I know, I know, I know, I know, all right, don't look at me like that.

He doesn't deserve our sympathy any more than he deserves to be in the cabinet. But there it is,

you know, watching somebody prostrating themselves upon the altar, before the altar of ambition, and

indulging in sort of this querulous sycophancy in such an unpleasant fashion. I feel sorry for it.

Debasing is the word that I'm looking for. But here's the thing, I don't really care whether he

stays or goes. I care about this country. I care about the children here's the thing. I don't really care whether he stays or goes.

I care about this country.

I care about the children who've been affected.

I care about the children next year who will be affected by the ripple effect of what's

happened over the last few days.

And most of all, I do care about competence.

And that's the point.

We should be focusing this morning upon the question of how

we've ended up with the government where epic incompetence is greeted with absolute impunity or

treated with absolute impunity, incompetence or actions, behaviors that would once have been
