U.S. stocks tumbled today after President Trump threatened a massive increase in tariffs on Chinese

products.

The NASDAQ dropped 3.6 percent, the S&P 500 fell 2.7 percent%, and the Dow fell about 880 points or 1.9%. The sell-off gave the

major indexes their worst week in months, with weekly declines exceeding 2%. Elsewhere, gold prices

climbed while oil tumbled. Among individual companies, shares of chipmakers slumped amid the

escalating trade tensions, with AMD falling 8% and Broadcom dropping 6%. Qualcomm stock fell 7%

after Beijing launched an anti-monopoly probe into the company. Applied digital shares jumped

16% after the data center developer posted

strong quarterly results. And shares of the natural gas exporter venture global slid 25%

following a surprise loss in an arbitration case against its customer BP. Heads up,
