Welcome in. It is the Wednesday live chat for this week's United States Open. That's right.

This hour or so, maybe longer, I don't know, is for you. Your questions, your concerns, your

comments, we're going to go through all of them. The topics generally range from one and done

decisions, ownership pivots, weather, deep dives into very random golfers,

speculating wildly about how a course is going to play in anywhere in between. I'll use data,

maybe a little bit of logic, a little bit of reason to see what we can find over the course of the

next 60 minutes. We always start in the same spot.

That is with weather. And fortunately for this week, I don't think it's going to take very long.

Thursday and Friday look very clean. In fact, the whole week looks very clean. Sun, very little,

if any, rain in the forecast. You're talking about 2 to 3% a percent chance of precipitation.

Is there a wave advantage?

Doesn't seem likely.

Thursday afternoon wins getting up to about seven miles an hour, Friday getting up to about

four mile an hour.

I don't think that this is anything super actionable.

It seems like everybody is going to get a fair run at

this test. And it feels like the USGA has an opportunity to do whatever they want with this

golf course. They are not going to get a ton of influence from Mother Nature. If they want to

lay a bunch of water on this, they can. If they want to bake it out, they can. So this will be a test of whatever the USGA wants to do.

It does not appear like there is anything but sunshine and heat over the course of this

championship.
