We have some unusual things taking place that don't happen all the time or all that often,

including the World Cup, 9 o'clock Saturday morning, United States versus the Netherlands.

And I probably will be watching on my phone because we will be at AT&T Stadium in Dallas for an 11 o'clock kickoff between Kansas State and TCU.

I want to take a couple of minutes, and I won't belabor this point talking about soccer,

but it is a very interesting fact that some really good teams have been knocked out of the World Cup now,

and the United States is still playing. These are very young players, and soccer is that sport,

where if you don't give up a goal, it's pretty hard to lose. And that's where this thing rests against the Netherlands, which is typically a very good team.

And the United States is an underdog in this match.

But a lot of people seem to think they could win it.

The way they've played defense in this tournament has been spectacular.

We will see.

Christian Polisick says he's going to play.

He's been day to day all week after the just ugly, ugly looking

injury that sent him to the hospital, but he says he'll be ready to go. And wouldn't it be

something if the United States won a knockout match? That's what this is now. It's win or go

home. If it is a tie, it goes into extra time and then eventually a shootout after a whole bunch of extra time.
