Tensions grow between the Biden administration and the Israeli government over

Rafa and Gaza.

The Jewish state expands its operations in Rafa, the last Hamas stronghold in the Gaza territory.

While the State Department issues are reported critical of Israel's conduct during the war, but stopping short of saying

it actually violated international law.

Meanwhile, opposition builds in the United States in both parties to President Biden's withholding of weapons

from Israel and his threat of a larger arms embargo if Israel goes into Rafa.
