Today we'll talk about the Iran nuclear deal.

What could perhaps be the final effort to revive the Iran nuclear deal will begin at the end of the month as negotiators meet in Vienna.

The United States, having walked away from the deal under the Trump administration is now pushing for even more

concessions from Iran.

But this kind of arrogance is nothing new.

It's been the defining feature of U.S. government policy towards Iran, going back to the

1953 CIA-sponsored coup d'etat, intensifying greatly after the 1979, People's Revolution

that overthrew the U.S. puppet monarchy.

We need a new system. We need a new society. We need to demand that which may have sounded

impossible even a few weeks ago, but is not only realizable, but an imperative necessity. Welcome to this week's episode of The Real Story on the Socialist program.

Another round of discussions between the Iranian government and the other signatories to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the Iran

nuclear arms deal, which President Trump tore up and said it was the worst deal ever, and

he imposed instead new, far-reaching, pretty draconian

economic sanctions on the people of Iran.
