Summary

This week's episode of Unlocked features the successful entrepreneur, Aaron Singerman. Aaron began pursuing his passion of fitness in his twenties. His plans were derailed by addiction despite his desire to become an entrepreneur in the fitness industry. He was led to begin a podcast to feature his interest in journalism for the body building scene which led to the chance to travel the world interviewing various fitness celebrities. In an effort to better provide for his growing family, Aaron developed his gifts by promoting products and leading marketing and advertising initiatives that led him to great levels of success. He is a champion of raising the bar not only for himself, but for all those working around him to better themselves and the company they work with. Aaron began RedCon1 in 2012, and it became the fastest growing health company in the country. Many of their products, like prohormones, served a niche group of serious bodybuilders, while others, like energy drinks, were popular among soccer moms. After changes in federal law, the company recalled and discontinued many products and notified existing customers of products that would be illegal. Disputes between Aaron and his business partner led to messy legal battles and a series of negotiations regarding the company's future. In 2017 and after Aaron left the company, the FDA searched Blackstone labs for the now illegal substances that had been used in some products. Aaron was later federally indicted in March 2019. He pleaded guilty and went to prison in January 2022 instead of going through a trial and risking additional charges. 0:54.4	all over the place from Walmart to GNC and Vitamin Shop and 100 countries worldwide, Amazon,
0:59.7	and the United States Military, Dixporting Goods, everywhere. That's awesome. I will say that's
1:04.0	one thing that I loved because you had sent a ton of stuff to my house. I got home and there
1:10.6	was like eight boxes full of stuff. And I saw on the back of one of the cans, what is like your
1:18.0	initiative with the military? So, yeah. So, RedCon 1 means from the very beginning, RedCon 1
1:23.4	is a military lingo or a jargon. This means the highest state of military preparedness or
1:28.3	military readiness. And I love that for a name because it really works for everybody. Yeah.
1:34.1	Whether you're a soccer mom or a Navy SEAL or a bodybuilder who doesn't want to be at the highest
1:39.9	state of readiness. So, it really applied for everybody. But the idea of the brand has always been
1:45.0	from the very beginning to support the United States military. We're very pro-military, pro-America,
1:50.0	very patriotic company. And so, one of the things that we've always done is donate to good causes.
