Day 20 of the Twilight Zone podcast Advent Calendar,

we think of Twilight Zone episodes as always having a twist at the end,

but not all of them do.

So which is your favorite non-twist episode and why? So I'll hand over to you, Zach. You know, this was hard because it's true,

not every episode has a twist, and then you think to yourself, what is a twist? Like, is it reveal a twist,

right? What defines a twist, especially in a twist especially in this context in this format but

you know i guess i'd go with it's a good life because there's no twist there's no moral message i

think he says that in the episode as well uh just a terrifying like what if of that reality um yeah just

this kid has powers and he's taken over this town and it's going to be that way forever. No twist. Just here it is, right? Submitted for your approval, as he says, right? So, yeah, you know, I'd say a lot of episodes don't have twists, but thinking about it now, it's hard to think of them off the top of my head i i guess on thursday we'll leave for home too i

guess right just the conclusion to that escalating power play they've been building towards right it just

it just it kind of a you know and stories that's a thing right i mean twist stick with you right

but stories that come to like natural conclusions also stick with you because everything just comes together

perfectly and I think that's that's a case for something like on Thursday we'll leave for home.

So those are the ones that come to the top of my head.

I mean, those are some of the best episodes.

That's another reason they come to the top of my head.

The thing is I was exactly the same.

I was probably second guessing myself too much as to what actually constitutes a twist because I was

thinking, well, the Odyssey of Flight 33, is that really a twist? They just keep on flying, you know,

but is the twist the fact that they end up as like this airplane version of the Marie Celeste or

whatever, you know, is that a twist?
