Day 7 of the Twilight Zone podcast Advent calendar and it's a question from our friend

Kaleen Brosnahan and she says you've just won an all expenses paid vacation for one week

to a Twilight Zone destination of your choice.

You choose the episode and the location from that episode where you would like to spend the

week. Where will you choose to go and what will you do while you're there?

So this was an interesting one and I took a bit of time to chew it over and it's like,

well what do I love about the Twilight Zone?

So I obviously love the stories but another aspect I love about it is the Americana.

You know, I love America.

I love different aspects of America, the real America, and also the kind of imagined America of the movies.

So one of the episodes that I think has a really interesting look to it, and you kind of forget it until you go back and watch it is the city and the four of us are dying and in that episode they use a lot of kind of weird angles and close-ups of like street signs and you you know, bar signs and stuff like that.

But it's the kind of smoky, you know, nighttime jazz clubs

and all the guys are in suits with hats on, all the women are in, you know, those kind of dresses.

And it's the noir-ish kind of America, if if you like so I would get a suit I would go

there and hang around in the bars probably take up smoking you know drink a few drinks

listen to the bands speak to the women you know just. So yeah, wouldn't be a very healthy week,

but it would be a hell of a week. It's a vacation. It's not supposed to be a healthy.

I mean, taking up smoking is extreme unhealthy, but sure, sure. So my answer kind of starts off

very similar to yours because one of the things that I really love about the Twilight Zone and about 50s American TV in general is that kind of residential small American town.

You know, the idea that everybody knows everybody and it's all very cute and things.

So there's so many of those featured in the Twilight Zone
