So it's Day 11 of the Twilight Zone podcast Advent Calendar,

and our friend Ben Kirkham says,

You can compile a DVD or Blu-ray with five episodes from each season of the original series,

which episodes would you choose?

So, you know, I wish I'd come up with something clever for this, but it's probably...

I mean, it's tough with some of these seasons,

but it's probably purely based on favorites

or things that I think show a certain aspect

of the Twilight Zone that I think should be represented.

So I'm gonna rattle through these as quick as I can.

So season one, I'm starting with where is everybody. I'm always going to pay my respect to

the man, Earl Hollerman, and I would always include that episode because it's a great introduction

to the show. Then Mr. Denton on Doomsday, you know, you could argue that are better episodes in the

Twilight Zone, but I think it illustrates a twist quite early on in the show and how the mechanics of it are working.

Walking distance because it is so rod sailing, you've kind of got to have it in there.

The lonely, it's always just been such a favorite for me, you know, the bleakness of the landscape, the two of them in that episode together.

So that's what I'm choosing.

And then mirror image because again, you know, there's nothing more terrifying than a doppelganger.

When you actually think about it, if you looked up and you saw yourself sitting at a bus stop or something, how terrifying that would actually be.

Then season two, Nick of Time, just, you know, Matheson at his best, I would argue probably better than nightmare of 20,000 feet, but they're both great, so who cares?

Then night of the meet, because we're always going to need a happy Christmas story.

Then the Odyssey of Flight 33, just always been a favourite for me.
