race has been joined by literal sewage, lapping at the shores of our green and pleasant land.

Hey, I'm very excited to wade through the muck with you tonight.

So this trust is almost guaranteed to be our next Prime Minister.

A recent poll has put her 32 points ahead of Rishi Sunak, whose star seems all but extinguished.

But why is trust doing so well?

Tories love tax cuts.

It's a move that will benefit the poorest by roughly 79 pence per month, while putting

hundreds of pounds into the pockets of the very richest.

And you can see why that might work well with the conservative base, but with public services

in-freefall and a recession on the cards, it hardly looks like a promising strategy for

winning a general election.

It's like the leadership race is taking place on another planet.

And even some Tories seem completely mystified by her rise.
