With the Queen lying in state, the level of public enthusiasm for the monarchy is being

measured in a line along the Thames. What driving people to queue? From France, I'm joined

by Owen Jones, queuing in spirit I am sure. Today was another big day in the marathon that

is the period of national mourning for the Queen. It got going when, at around half two,

the Queen's coffin was marched from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall. The casket being pulled

by horses flanked by royal guards behind the casket is King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew

and Prince Edward. Behind them are William and Harry. Once a procession got to Westminster Hall,

the Queen's coffin was laid on a platform in the middle of the room. The flag is straped in a flag

called the Royal Standard. It represents the sovereign of the United Kingdom. What is happening now

is that the public can go and view the Queen's coffin so as to pay their respect. People are

slowly walking past the coffin on either side, some stopping to pray. That will be possible

for 24 hours a day. You can go see the coffin for 24 hours a day until the morning of the Queen's

funeral. Organizers are expecting a lot of people to turn up. Yesterday this was released by the

government. It's a map of the potential queue to go and pay respects to the Queen. Organizers

think it could reach over four miles long, going all the way from Lamb of Bridge to Savak Park.

And there were certainly some people committed to being at the front of that queue.

the wait overnight last night. It was horrific because it was raining all the time and it was

that kind of very, it was not that cold, but it was very, very, the rain makes everything
