I just wanted to let it be known how much my hours with you on a Friday evening cheer up

and my week, they're fabulous. And to us being quite busy week, this week I have to say,

tonight we're going to be talking about Elon Musk closing the deal on Twitter. Did he want to buy

it in the first place? That's one of the controversies. Will he let Donald Trump back on it? What will it

mean for the global public square, which is what he tends to call Twitter? A bunch of other stories,

especially on Rishi Sunack, Climate Change, Julie Hartley Brewer on question time,

and Rishi Sunack getting called out in a hospital by a patient. Elon Musk's

dalliances with purchasing Twitter have been an on-again off-again affair. The world's richest man

first offered to buy the company in April after having built up shares in it earlier in the year.

But by the summer, he had changed his mind. Musk claimed that was because Twitter had misled

him about the number of fake accounts on the site. Most people, though, thought he'd just

realised that the $44 billion he'd initially offered made the firm vastly overvalued.

Following that change of heart, Twitter executives took Musk to court. They, of course,

quite like the idea of Musk overpaying them for their company. And now the deal has been closed.

So it's not a particularly subtle poem, but in case you're listening to the podcast,

that was a tweet that said entering Twitter, let that sink in, and Elon Musk is walking into

Twitter HQ with the sink. Clearly, it's an intelligent man. That's how he managed to start a bunch

of very successful companies, but the humor is somewhat crude. He tweeted this today.
