Liz Truss, maybe the new Prime Minister, but I'm joined by the only girl boss that matters.

Ash, I know you died a little bit inside when I said that, how are you?

I'm good. And Aaron, I actually prepared a special joke for you tonight. How many comedians

does it take to derail a politics show? I don't know. One. And it's not funny.

That whole situation makes me laugh. I don't know if that's been in diamond on your joke, Ash,

which was also very funny. More of that later, of course, we are discussing the scenes on yesterday's

Laura Koons-Bug on Sunday show. Mary Elizabeth Truss has become Britain's newest Prime Minister

after defeating Rishi Sunak in the conservative leadership race. But it's certainly not the

landslide win that some in her camp might have expected. Here are the results. Liz Truss received 57

percent of the vote to Sunak's 43 percent. This makes Truss the first of the past five Tory leaders

elected under the current rules to receive less than 60 percent in the member's ballot.

Following the result, Liz Truss gave her acceptance speech. Friends and colleagues,

thank you for putting your faith in me to lead our great conservative party, the greatest political

party on earth. I know that our beliefs resonate with the British people. Our beliefs in freedom,

in the ability to control your own life, in low taxes, in personal responsibility,

and I know that's why people voted for us in such numbers in 2019. And as your party leader,

I intend to deliver what we promised those voters right across our great country.

During this leadership campaign, I campaigned as a conservative and I will govern as a conservative.

And my friends, we need to show that we will deliver over the next two years. I will deliver a bold

plan to cut taxes and grow our economy. I will deliver on the energy crisis, dealing with people
