Doing good, always like a show where we're talking about strikes all the time,

so suits me well. There are a lot of them. We were not struggling for strike content this evening,

as will become apparent throughout the show, although I imagine many of our audience are already

aware. Many of our audience, you know, I imagine quite a few of you are due to be going on strike

over the next few weeks. Another day, another set of strikes to put on the Christmas calendar,

the UK Border Force staff are the latest group to announce industrial action over the festive

holidays. That dispute, which is overpaying conditions, will mean passport checks will be disrupted

at major airports from the 25th of December to Boxing Day and then from the 28th of December to

New Year's Eve. Also today, members of the Fibergate Union have marched on Westminster,

there being balanced on whether to strike overpay, they've been offered a 5% increase

far below inflation, which is currently at 11%. But the most attention this week has been on the

RMT, who have announced new strike date from the 24th until the 27th of December, and on ambulance

drivers who are going on strike on the 21st of December. Workers in the ambulance service are

striking principally overpay, but members have also been clear that this is also about a broader

crisis in the NHS. Reporting from the BBC today, may the extent of that catastrophe clear?

it took 47 minutes for the ambulance to come. The target for the average response time on such a

serious life or death call is 7 minutes. It was horrendous, it's every Darren's worst nightmare.
