0:14.2	Today I want to start with a personal question.
0:16.7	Are you going through a conversion right now?
0:19.9	Are you going through a conversion?
0:20.9	You know, when Christians talk about conversion, they think of it as a big, spiritual, dramatic
0:25.2	event in their lives, and maybe they went on a retreat or they go to a conference or
0:29.8	they're in the chapel and they encounter Jesus in a new, really powerful way.
0:33.4	And they decide to turn their life around, to turn away from sin and commit their lives
0:37.7	to following Jesus and they surrender their lives to it.
0:41.1	These could be amazing moments in our lives.
0:44.0	Maybe you've had a moment like that or a season in life like that, where maybe it was
0:49.2	back a long time ago when you were in a youth group or maybe you went to a certain conference
0:53.1	in your young adult years or maybe it's through a time of great trial and suffering
0:57.9	and you needed to depend on God like never before us.
1:00.9	You entrusted your life in a new way to him.
1:03.5	These are amazing blessings in our lives and God uses that for our path forward in walking
1:09.8	with him.
1:10.9	But did you know that in the Catholic tradition, conversion is not a one-time event.
1:16.5	No, no, it's meant to be ongoing throughout our lives.
1:20.9	In fact, the church talks about this ongoing conversion that God is always pressing in
1:26.9	inviting us to new ways to follow him, to surrender more, to trust more, to love more,
1:32.0	to sacrifice more, to always be on the lookout for sins that are creeping up in our lives
