most astonishing miracles and the subject of Jesus' most audacious promises. And yet, many people,

even Bible-believing Christians, struggle with prayer. Well, if you've struggled with prayer in the past,

maybe you tried it, you found it a drudgery more than a delight, I'm asking you to dare to

believe today that you can have a prayer life that's vital, sustaining, life-giving, powerful,

and increases and improves your fellowship with God in a way that you've maybe never noticed

before. You can have a prayer life that's more real and alive than you ever imagined. You know prayer. If you've listened often enough, prayer is probably one of my most favorite topics. I'm an intercessor at heart. Well, Tyler Stanton joins me back on the show today. This time we're talking about his book, Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools, An Invitation to the Wonder and Mystery of prayer. I love that whole title so much. Tyler is the lead pastor of Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon. Previously, he served as co-founder and lead pastor of Oaks Church in Brooklyn. His passion is a community that is unexplainable apart from the love and the power of God. I love that. He's the author of Searching for Enough and is currently working. well, that's his old bio because he's finished with his second book,

praying like monks, living like fools. I appreciate it so much. He lives in Portland with his wife, Kirsten, and their two sons, Hank and Simon. Tyler, is your wife's name Christian or Kirsten? I want to make sure I got that right. Her name is Kirsten, and we do have a third son now because you were reading an old bio. His name is Amos. Oh, those are great names. Hank Simon and Amos. Wow. Well, great to have you back on the show, Tyler. How are you doing today? Thank you, Susie. I'm so glad to be back with you. Yeah, I'm looking forward to the conversation. I really do. Prayer is just my jam. I'm telling I love, love, love my fellowship with God. And so I loved this book. And even the subtitle, an invitation to the wonder and mystery of prayer. Cannot wait to dig in. But you've been on the show before so you know this. But we start every question, every show, every day in the same way,

just making it personal. Just what is the Lord speaking to about and your just times of prayer

these days? For me, even this morning, I just felt like God speaking to me about a great threat to my

life and a great invitation. And the threat is that I would talk like Mary, but live like Martha.
