Hey, everybody, welcome back to the Giants Insider podcast.

Today's guest is catcher Tyler Heinemann.

He was in Giants camp for the first time this spring.

He was competing with Rob Brantley to back up Buster Posey when camp ended.

So there was definitely a lot at stake for him.

And this seemed like his real best opportunity to maybe solidify a big

week spot and start to make a name for himself so a tough time for him to have to take a break

but as you as you'll see in this interview he's making the best of it he is um as they all are

he's trying to find a way to work out and keep in shape and keep focused and

stay ready for a season. So a lot of you probably know since the last podcast came out,

the owners have somewhat of a plan of what they want to do. They took that to the Players Association

this week and we'll see what happens with that. There's a lot to be figured out, obviously,

the health aspect, but also the financial aspect of it is going to get tricky. And that's all on

our website right now if you want to check that out. I wrote about that this week and gave some

my thoughts. I just think financially you're talking about two sides that don't see eye to eye

and it rarely see eye to eye and now in the middle of something we've never really dealt with before

trying to figure out how to kind of divide the revenues at a time when it's pretty much certain fans

won't be back this season and they don't know about next season either. So it's tricky. We'll

see if they figure it out.
