Going into this thing, he's like, oh, no, there's going to be a team meeting. And it's almost felt like kind of passive aggressive, Chris, as that Ray's series wrapped up, like,

oh, we're going to have to have to have a meeting. These guys need to talk into. And then leading in the last night's game, he's like, ah, no, I don't really know what you're talking about. No, there wasn't a meeting. Like the whole thing was just weird.

It's been a little strange.

It just speaks to sort of the dysfunction and disorganization. And you look at just the state of the

Red Sox right now. They are in a state of disrepair all around. Yeah. And so now again,

five straight. It was mostly a listless performance after that first inning last night. They get off to a good start against James Paxton, who stinks in the first inning. The guys can, I think now giving up 11 home runs in the first inning. So no big surprise there. It's like, okay, two nothing lead. Just dingers Martinez, gets them on the board. Okay. All right. Hey, maybe they're going to clean up on them again like they did last week. Nope. No. Glaver.

Not to galabor the point, Susan. Hits the grand slam bottom of the first. And then that's it. And then the rest of the game was mostly just boring. And I don't know. They played for the most part. Like they didn't even really want to be there. Like, and that, that, I think, is, speaks to the bigger mindset about the ball club and the players

themselves and how they've acted and played and looked since the trade deadline and nothing happened. They don't add to the team. It just feels like they've waved the white flag. I don't think that that's being alarmist. That's just what it looks like. That's what my eyes are telling me. Yeah, certainly, look, the optics are bad at this point with this week.
