Texas governor, Greg Abbott, has now ordered the State Department of Public Safety to conduct civil arrests of Democrats who did not show up for this afternoon's special legislative session in the Texas State House.

Now, this is all part of the fight for control of the U.S. House of Representatives in next year's midterms,

and it's playing out in dramatic fashion.

Members, a quorum is not present.

The role has been called, and a quorum has not been established.

Now, dozens of Democratic Texas State Representatives skipped that special session that began,
