1:01.6 | in this city for 22 years and I guess that's how I got involved into politics. I became a |
1:08.1 | school rep in my school and after about 18 months went along to the |
1:14.5 | officers meeting, became a local caseworker. And at that time we had around 50% of teachers. |
1:20.2 | I was in the NUT, around 50% of the teachers in the city in my union. And then we've merged |
1:26.4 | with the ATL and become the Lash Education Union and |
1:29.3 | our membership has grown and we now cover over 70% of teachers in the city as well as support |
1:35.3 | staff. In our new union role we take anyone who's in education because actually when you're in |
