All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown.

My name is Jeff Fluck here on The Athletic.

I'm along with my coworker Jordan Bianchi.

Jordan, we are now just two weeks, two weeks from today. If all goes well, we will be talking about an actual race that actually happened. Man, I am like pretty pumped up about that. I got to be honest. Not that there's, well, I was going to say not there's anything wrong with the ir racing. But no kind of over the irasing stuff at least on tv uh you know more power of the people that want to play

it but personally just like this dover race that we uh we watch today um it just you know i'm

i'm just ready for real racing that's all i can say right and i think i racing has been a good

substitute and i think it's done a good job, and I

thought today's race was very replicate of what Dovers like in real life, but like you, I'm

ready for the real thing.

I'm excited to be back.

I'm excited to be covering a real world sport again, and I'm anxious to see how this unfolds,

because honestly, there's a lot more questions and answers right now. I think NASCAR coming back is certainly, I don't know if I have 100% on board with it.

I understand why they're doing it.

I understand why they feel they can do it.

But I'm interested to see how this all plays out.

And I think it's going to be fascinating to see this all unfold over the next few weeks.

Well, let's touch on that. I mean, we can mention, obviously, you know, that William Byron did win the I-Race today, you know, since this is technically the post-race podcast.

Other than that, you know, I think they're going to run North Wilkesboro next week it looks like.

So that could be kind of interesting for their finale.

But IndyCar had its finale. It was craziness,

you know, people wrecking all over the place at IMS at the end. Obviously, people race different

when there's no consequences, right? There's no consequences at least for, you know, your personal
