We've profiled these guys on the show in the past, and I went back for our follow-up.

We've done two previous episodes about Patrick and Steve, and their attempt to adopt their foster

daughter, whom we've been calling Violet, because there are strict rules in place to protect

the identity of foster

kids while their cases are pending. And no other story we've done has generated as many emails

from you wondering how it all turned out. So for everyone who's been waiting, today you'll finally know.

The first one is called Two Men on a Baby, and the follow-up is called Like a Pizza. But to catch

you up real quick, Patrick and Steve are a gay couple who wanted to adopt a baby, and they were

told it would take months, perhaps years, before they'd get an infant. But just six hours after they turned

in their paperwork, they got a call that there was a newborn for them. Here's Patrick.

They delivered her like a pizza. There was a caravan that pulled up, and the social worker came.

So I said, can I take your coat? And she said, no, no, I won't be staying long. And they handed

her to me with a bag of formula and said, feed her every four hours.

And she left.
