There are two kinds of men in this world. There are those who think they are strong,

and then there are those who realize they're weak, but they have found their strength in God.

I wonder which one of those describes the life you're living today. We find those two people

in Psalm 52. There is an amazing contrast here between two men,

one man named Doeg and another man named David. Doeg was a man of flesh. He was a man who

lived by force and scheme and conniving. He thought he was really something. And of course,

in the end, God always brings those

people down. You know, the Lord has a way of letting the air out of your balloon. And on the other hand,

there is David, the man after God's own heart, a man who at times seemed like he was very weak

and going to be defeated, and yet in the end always comes out in victory. How is that possible? Because David had learned

that he was nothing and God was everything, that he was weak and God alone was strong. Now let's read

this historical Psalm. Psalm 52, why boastest thou thyself in mischief, almighty man? The goodness of God endureth continually. The tongue deviseth mischives

like a sharp razor working deceitfully. Thou lovest evil more than good and lying rather than to speak

righteousness, Celah. Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue, God shall likewise destroy thee forever.
