| 1:02.5 | inflation. And with them meeting this month and all the speculation that they're going to |
| 1:07.2 | reduce interest rates by a quarter percent, this information is very timely. |
| 1:12.5 | As of today, traders have predicted an 88% chance of that quarter percent rate cut at the September 17th |
| 1:19.4 | Fed meeting. The Fed and investors await those critical inflation reports this week for more |
| 1:25.0 | insights into the health of the economy, especially after we had |
| 1:28.6 | weaker than expected hiring data on Friday. If you remember, the jobs number came in much below |
| 1:34.6 | expectations, and that helped fuel investor hope that the Federal Reserve is pretty certain to lower |
| 1:40.2 | interest rates at their meeting. Traders also believe that there may be a half percent rate |
| 1:46.2 | cut at the meeting. The odds of that have gone up. Morgan Stanley strategist Michael Wilson said |
| 1:51.5 | the weak jobs report supports our view that we're transitioning to early cycle from rolling recession |
| 1:57.2 | to rolling recovery. Near-term risk is tied to whether the monetary policy response |
| 2:02.9 | is significant enough. Potential choppiness in the short term could set up for a strong finish |
