I am reading after the flare by Dagi Bryce Ola Kootun, which is technically the second book in the

series and I haven't read the first one and and I'm, like, bad at series all over the place now. It used to be just romance, but now I'm apparently bad at all series. But I wanted to read it, and I could get a copy of this, like, from the publisher, so I just haven't read the first one yet. But anyway, it's really not at all

what I was expecting, which is probably because I haven't read the first one. But it takes place

in like a version of our world in which there's been a giant solar flare. And there's an astronaut

stuck on the International Space Station. And the flare has knocked out the, like, internet

and power structures of most of the sort of, you know, West, like America and the upper

latitudes.

So the only, like, around the equator, there are still countries with, you know, the infrastructure.

And so there, you, like, the story, the infrastructure. And so there you, like the story

opens in Nigeria with their space program. And they're the ones who are like working to rescue

the astronaut. And on top of it, there's like weird energy beings, like sabotaging the space air, like headquarters's weird there's weird things happening i'm not

sure what's happening right now but i'm really enjoying not knowing what's happening so yeah it's i'm

definitely going to go back and read the first one once i'm done with this one what about you i am just

still on winston's, which is the audiobook.
