There was this sound like someone was running down the hall.

It was getting louder and quicker coming towards us.

We were expecting someone to barge into the room or into a wall than it just stopped.

Today we have two stories by two storytellers.

Now let's start with this one, where something lurked around the house, making very

brief and subtle appearances.

I live in Oregon, in a small town named Dayton. Not a lot of people know about it because it's really small.

It's more like on the rural side.

My parents have always talked about a woman that they see at times or they feel like

a presence in the house that is not good.

And then they start praying and they start like bringing the Bible and everything.

So when I was younger, my parents were always the best.

So it was always really negative in this house.

I remember one time they locked me in the room.

And then they went outside. I think they were like mowing the grass.

And I remember I started hearing like footsteps around the house.

Steps are like little scratches or knocks in that hallway.

I was like six or seven.

I was like crying a lot.

And then I would hear shushing, like shushing something up or

shushing me up probably. That was probably really loud. And then I felt peaceful. Every time
