Story Summary:
A scientist in a secret government lab has devoted her career to studying vicious lifeforms that crashed onto Earth years ago. Having recently ended a long-term relationship and now feeling socially isolated from her colleagues, she can’t help projecting her loneliness onto the lab’s specimens. But is the connection really only in her head? Or does she have more in common with these violent creatures than she ever imagined?
