0:10.3	Hi, I'm Rich Condit with MicrobTV, and I'm here at the HBV International Meeting in Chicago.
0:19.3	That's Hepatitis B virus international meeting.
0:23.6	And I'm here with Sherry Cohen, who is president, the current president of the HBV Foundation.
0:31.6	And I'm anxious to learn all about Sherry and about the HBV Foundation.
0:36.6	And I'm starting from scratch, okay, because I know nothing, all right?
0:41.6	Absolutely.
0:42.0	So tell me about yourself, your history and how you got into this.
0:46.1	Sure.
0:46.7	So I got my master's in public health after college, and we all have to do a graduate research
0:52.6	project, and I had previously been in my molecular biology,
0:56.0	so I had an interest in virology and found the hepatitis B Foundation, which oddly enough is in
1:02.0	Bucks County, Pennsylvania, suburban area, not a place you would expect to have a nonprofit organization
1:08.0	focusing on infectious diseases. But I called them up and I did a graduate research project with them working, looking at
1:13.9	the communications needs of people living with hepatitis B.
1:18.0	And at the end, when I graduated, they said, why don't you stay on?
1:21.1	And that was in 1999.
1:23.1	Oh, so long time.
1:24.4	Yeah, I've been there.
1:25.4	I've been there officially 50% of my life.
1:27.7	So have you been president there for that?
1:29.8	No.
