| 0:00.0 | The board at Twitter is using a so-called poison pill to go after Elon Musk, but they aren't just going after Elon Musk. They're going after free speech. |
| 0:11.0 | I want to find out who's going to blink first in this Ukraine war. Is it going to be the Russian? So is it going to be the US? |
| 0:18.0 | What is the future of the pro-life movement in a post-Roll world? I'll explore. |
| 0:24.0 | I'm also going to examine the implications of China posing as the global defender of traditional values. And finally, I'm going to explore in Dante's purgatory the remarkable meaning of Dante the Pilgrim and a Roman poet named Stasis. This is a Dineshtus who's a show. |
| 0:38.0 | America needs this voice. The times are crazy and a time of confusion, division and lies. We need a brave voice of reason, understanding and truth. This is the Dineshtus Sousa podcast. |
| 1:08.0 | The Dineshtus Sousa show is a minor change. The reason for it is that Salem Media Corporation, which is the sponsor of this podcast, is now going to be uploading it to their new television network, that's called Salem TV Network. |
| 1:29.0 | For that reason, it now doubles as a podcast and a show. It's going to be in Prime Time 7 or 8 p.m. on Salem TV Network. So you'll actually be able to check it out there as well. |
| 1:40.0 | Now, I want to talk about Elon Musk and Twitter, because the Twitter board is now in full defense mode, but they're not just against Elon Musk. |
| 1:52.0 | Elon Musk, whether he knows it or not, is on the front line of the culture war at this point. I think he does know. I think he's actually ready for it. |
| 2:01.0 | But what Twitter is trying to do is not just protect themselves from Musk, but they want to continue their practices of censorship. They are so committed to censorship. |
| 2:11.0 | This is a media corporation that is deeply wedded to the idea of censorship. That's why they're freaking out. And they're freaking out to such a point that they're even willing to cost themselves money and a great deal of money. |
| 2:23.0 | Because Elon Musk is offering a pretty fancy price for Twitter. Let's look at the Twitter value for a second. Twitter was at one point at $73 a share. |
| 2:33.0 | Then when it became clear that Twitter was sort of chasing away half the country, censoring political opponents, essentially throwing its lawden with woke culture, people realize Twitter's audience is going to be stagnant. It's going to shrink. And so Twitter's share price dropped to the 40s, the mid 40s. |
| 2:50.0 | Now Elon Musk is offering to buy a 54 20 share, which is a sizable premium above Twitter as current price. But the Twitter board is like, we don't want to have to start protecting free speech again. No, no, no, no, no, we're so dug into censorship. It's now our way of doing business. We don't care if we lose money. And so they've invoked something called a poison pill. |
| 3:10.0 | Kind of a way of diluting shares. And by adding, by giving people shares, current shareholders shares at a discounted price. And the idea is to block some outsider from being able to come in and take over the company. |
| 3:25.0 | Twitter has now become habitual in its censorship. I don't think it's as bad as YouTube and Facebook. They are actually far worse. They are in the Xi Jinping category of censorship. Twitter is not as bad. But it's still pretty bad. |
| 3:40.0 | Twitter, recently, for example, suspended liberals of TikTok. Well, what's the lips of TikTok? What's their great offense? Their great offense is nothing more than quoting the left. They actually capture videos of leftists saying, you know, really hateful and stupid things. |
| 3:55.0 | And then, lips of TikTok has been banned for quote, hateful conduct irony upon irony. |
| 4:01.0 | The Babylon be a satirical site has been banned and so many so many others. Parag, other while the Indian dude who runs Twitter has basically said Twitter doesn't care about the first amendment. |
| 4:12.0 | We're not he says bound by the first amendment. And he says in fact, content moderation is kind of what Twitter is all about. Quote, our role is particularly emphasized. |
| 4:22.0 | Where our role is particularly emphasized is who can be heard. So that's what Twitter wants today. Want to manipulate who can and cannot be heard. They have no trust in what can be called the free market of ideas. |
| 4:35.0 | And now Twitter and doing all this and trying to block musk in this way is facing considerable liability. It's in fact, it's facing a revolt from its own shareholders. Why? |
