Stories of the death worm date back to the early 1920’s. It was first mentioned in the West in a book called, On the Trail of Ancient Man, by paleontologist, Roy Chapman Andrews. The real-life Indiana Jones inspiration said he heard stories of the monster at a gathering with Mongolian officials. He was skeptical of its existence but the officials described it in detail and believed it existed.Support the show
