Welcome back to this week in steady trade.

Today's topic is Trump, tariffs, and tax day.

So what I want to start out with is, you know, this has been a recurring theme for a while, the tariff idea.

You know, the China tariffs have been in the news for, wow, months now, maybe going on a year.

I can't remember when the Chinese negotiations first started.

They kind of come and go from the news.

And then today, we got a headline about Trump possibly instilling

tariffs on up to $11 billion worth of goods.

Now, why is this a topic for discussion from a day trading or a swing trading perspective?

Might surprise you?

I'm going to tell you, it's not.

You know, one of the things that we see so much in trading, you know, and I was almost going to say short-term trading, but it really goes for any time frame.

And we'll talk about day trading as being in and out the same day.

Swing trading is multiple days, maybe weeks.

And then longer term or investing is months, years,

possibly decades if you're Warren Buffett.

But the idea mainly is news being priced in and traders and investors and particularly the media

looking for reasons for moves.
