Welcome back to this week in steady trade.

Today the theme is hashtag unpopular opinion.

So what's the unpopular opinion I want to talk about?

That is, and this is, it's funny, it's a, uh, what's the unpopular opinion I want to talk about?

That is, and this is, it's funny, it's a unicorn, it's a bigfoot, it's a, any other mythical creature you would like to talk about, a kuk, what was it, a kukabara?

But anyway, the idea that no trade is the best trade and i know

nobody wants to hear this especially if you're a new trader trying to grow your account um

i mean everybody unfortunately well not everybody but most people want to have success too quickly, in my opinion.

And something with day trading and markets, you know, the harder you push, the harder the market will push back,

especially if you're a beginner.

And there's a time to trade.

And we've gone over the Jesse Livermore book in the past.

Probably my favorite, I would have to say my favorite trading quote, you know, as a avid fisherman, is the Jesse Livermore quote, that there's a time to go long, long, there's a time to go short,

and there's a time to go fishing.

And when you've got these times, and as I'm recording this, this is May 15th, bring up the,

you know, the 10-day chart of the SPY, the S&P 500 index.

And this is an index that I recommend watching to get an overall

sentiment of the market. You know, you can watch the Dow Jones if you want, but you know,

the Dow Jones is only 30 stocks. The S&P 500 is the 500 largest stocks. And I think gives a much

better representation of what is going on in the market.
