I'm John Cut, and I am joined by my guest, Kyle Bland.

Kyle's been on the show before, so we've already done, you know, a bunch of the intro stuff a couple months ago.

But for those who just aren't familiar with your work, which I don't know how people aren't,

if you're really involved in the fantasy space.

Kyle, can you give it a quick introduction to, yeah, what you do for Pitcher List and what you've been up to this offseason?

Yeah, so I'm the director of research and data analysis at Pitcher List. My job is basically to figure out cool new numbers stuff for baseball and turn that into like actionable insights both for fantasy and for like our written content.

Yeah, so that's kind of the day to day. Super fun. I'm super lucky to be doing it. And then what I've been up to this off season, we've had just a couple

different things. We'll be talking about our PLV projections. This is our second year, and we just

had version two come out for those. So that's exciting. I'm working on our own spin on park

factors that take into account the individual bad ball characteristics,

so not just like how hard it was hit and how high it was it, but also like how far down

the line was it. So you can get kind of a more granular understanding of like, oh, how does

left field play, not just the park? And so then you can factor in like, okay, well, if it's a

righty pole guy that'll

bump his park factor score a little bit so that's been a really fun one and then you know we're

always working on fun new tools at pitcher list i'm doing tweaks for our live draft assistant

because i know the draft season's already happening for some people but for most people to be

coming up pretty soon.

So we want to get all of the tools out there so that y'all can best utilize the projections and the info that we put out.

Yeah, I would say this year has been a pretty busy year for you.
