Hello, everyone, and welcome to This Week in Fantasy Baseball. I'm John Cut, joined as always by my co-host, Patrick Fitzgerald. In this episode, we're going over the latest news and notes around baseball, recapping a hitter and pitcher performances from the past week, and of course, giving some stream recommendations at the end of the show. But before we get into all that, Patrick, how are you doing? Hey, John, I'm doing pretty well other than being very frustrated by the quality of baseball, the Orioles are playing, but not entirely surprised. I'm doing pretty well. My fantasy teams, I think it's been a pretty good, like, last couple weeks, definitely some rough pitching outings earlier this week, looking at Shote and Managa, especiallyaga especially you know giving back a lot of that good

work he had done earlier this year but you know that's the way it goes sometimes regression will

come for everybody at some point so yeah overall i think i'm doing pretty well and progressing through

the season in a good way how about you uh i'm doing all right um my twins somehow managed to get

two series wins in a row.

We beat, actually, no, sorry, we didn't get two in a row.

We did lose the one over the weekend.

But we had a nine-game homestead and we went two of those series.

So they were against the Marlins and the Astros, though.

So I don't think we're necessarily bragging any tight soon about that.

But, yeah, fantasy um the uh the cal

raleigh injury has really hit me really hard because i did not do a good job of diversifying my

catchers so uh ironically enough i had to pick up salvi who we'll talk about in a little bit later

to the episode to fill that gap because he has not been good

and he was available on both those leagues that I had Cal in. Actually, maybe all three leagues that I had

Cal in. I picked up Salvi. But I did manage to have a 12-0 week in one of my leagues, which I was

pretty happy about. Sometimes you just need a beat up on the bad teams in the league and really, you know, launch yourself up in the standings and we took full advantage of that in that league. Yeah, you got to beat, whether it's the real life team or your fantasy team, got to beat who they put in front of you, right? So yeah, maybe Salvi's turning a corner. I think he has a homer tonight and he had another good game within the last week we're going to talk about. So, yeah, that could end up looking like a nice ad. Yeah, I'm not holding my breath necessarily. Like he is looking a little older, but we'll talk about that for sure in the rest of the episode.
