Hello, everyone, and welcome to This Week in Fantasy Baseball. I'm John Cud, joined by my co-host Patrick Fitzgerald.

We are just a couple weeks out from opening day.

The WBC just ended Venezuela.

Obviously, if you haven't seen it already,

sneaked out a win over Team USA, 3-2 in the ninth inning.

So congratulations to Venezuela.

Obviously, I was kind of hoping Pablo Lopez would pitch for Team Venezuela, but he's out for the season.

So that is what it is.

But, yeah, Patrick, how are you doing?

I'm good.

I'm excited for opening day this time next week.

It'll be like the first pitch of the the yankees giants will be happening so that

standalone opening day game and then everything will get started the next day so yeah i'm looking

forward to it got a couple more drafts to finish up draft season enjoyed the wbc and yeah i'm ready

to go yeah i've got one more home league or one of my leagues that still hasn't drafted yet that'll be happening

on Sunday I will unfortunately be unable to attend so I'll be drafting it via phone which like

is going to be really frustrating but at the same time it's like it will be I think it'll be my

fifth draft of the season so at this point I kind of know who my targets are going to be

you know in a head-to-head sort of categories league. So I feel okay about that. But, yeah, you always kind of wish you could be present at least for drafts. But sometimes that's just not the case. Yeah, yeah. My home league is on Saturday. It's an auction draft. And we usually like a third of us get together but we're not able to this

year because of scheduling stuff and one of my friends one of my friends in the league is going to

attempt to draft his auction team on the golf course so i said dude your team is going to be horrible
