Hello, everyone, and welcome to this week in fantasy baseball.

0:20.4

I'm John Cah, and I am joined by my co-host, Patrick Fitzgerald. In this episode, we're going to go over the latest news and notes around baseball, recap the hitter and pitcher performances from this past week, and of course, provide some streamer recommendations at the end of the show. But before we get into all of that, Patrick, how are you doing? Hey, John, I'm doing pretty well. Orioles just finished taking two out of three from the Mariners. So nice to see, you know, that they can still hang with some playoff teams, even if they're basically completely out of the picture. Of course, they did not even score a run in the game I went to in the series. They lost one zero, got shot out by George Kirby in the Mariners bullpen.

So bad timing on my part, I guess, but what are you going to do? How are you?

0:59.2

I'm doing all right. I guess if you've been following baseball news, you know that the twins

1:03.0

decided to take themselves off the market, which every twins fan was a big fan of that move.

1:12.5

So yeah, trying to navigate the doom and gloom in twins territory

1:14.6

but actually similar to you I went to

1:17.3

a game last Saturday

1:19.6

in our series against Kansas City

1:21.8

and I also went to the one loss which I think was a

1:24.7

a 1-0 game Noah Cameron had a great outing, the Twins just could not do anything in that one offense, offensive wise. Yeah, it's a real shame with the ownership thing. You know, they don't payroll at the deadline. And you're like, all right, I'm okay with that. It stinks. But as long as they sell and we can move on. And then they say they're're not selling it's just not really sure what the path forward is unfortunately.

1:47.4

Yeah, it's a heck of a rug pull.

1:50.2

We're trying to maintain some positivity.

1:52.6

You know, maybe they do actually want to win, but yeah, I won't get into too much of the specifics there.

1:59.1

But needless to say, it is very frustrating

2:00.8

as a Twins fan to kind of realize this might be your future for the next few years of dealing

2:06.7

with, you know, a bottom five payroll in baseball and, frankly, a team that probably will also

2:11.6

finish in the bottom five in most years now.

2:16.2

Yeah, good core, but you got to build around them. Exactly. And the core needs to also be good, too. That's the other problem. All right, anyways, before we get into the rest of the podcast, just a reminder, you can follow us on Twitter at This WeekPL. You can send us your fantasy baseball questions to our email at this week, pl, pl pod at gmail.com. Lastly, make sure you subscribe to or follow the podcast on where we're streaming platform that you listen to. Again, we're on all of them, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube. Wherever you listen, make sure you follow us and leave a five-star review if you enjoy the show. All right, we are going to start, as always, with injury list news.

2:51.5

And there's actually quite a bit of news.

2:53.8

A lot of players actually coming back that are kind of important for fantasy reasons.
