In this episode, we are going to go over the latest news and notes around baseball,

recap the hitter and pitcher performances from this past week,

and of course, give some streamer recommendations at the end of the show.

Before we get into it, Patrick, how are you doing?

Hey, John, I'm doing all right.

Other than wishing that my online championship team would remember how to hit the ball and steal some bases, I'm doing okay.

How about you?

I'm doing all right.

Beginning of August is kind of when it feels like fantasy leagues are really coming down

to the wire.

I'm in the money in my home league.

We're in the semifinals right now, so feeling good about that.

But a couple of the other fantasy leagues I'm in, I'm at least in the top half or, you know,

trying to shoot for a playoff spot.

So, you know, these last couple weeks, I guess, before playoff start in, you know, September

ish, whenever your, your playoff start, it feels like it's kind of coming down to the wire. I got to make the right moves. Yep, yeah, we got trade deadline today and a lot of Yahoo leagues I know. It might be the same on ESPN too. I made the difficult decision to sell for the first time in my home, like, keeper type league.

So first time in, I think, five years in the league I've had to sell instead of, you know, making the playoffs. So a little bit of a bummer, but, you know, should have a good, good, got affordable Terrick Scoobel and Kyle Bradish keeps next year. So I should be able. Build a solid team around that. Yeah, that should be nice.

Definitely scoobble.

I mean, you can get the best pitcher for cheap. That's already a win. Yeah, I unfortunately dropped Nick Kurtz a few months ago and he was playing terribly and I'm going to regret that one for a couple of years. So, you know, that's how it goes sometimes. For sure. Yeah, I dropped Nick Kurtz in a redraft league.

So I didn't feel as bad because I was like, oh, well, maybe I can just pick him up next year.
