I'm John Cud, joined by Patrick Fitzgerald.

In this episode, we're going to go over the latest news and notes around baseball.

Talk about a few pitchers and hitters that are either surging or struggling in what we think about their second half output.

And then, of course, some streaming recommendations at the end of the show but before we get

into it how was your all-star break patrick hey john it's been good i enjoyed you know a few days

but there's no sports on right now basically so i'm looking forward to the the games getting back

underway how about you uh yeah kind of the same thing, actually, I was like, thinking yesterday,

I'm like, there's absolutely nothing to watch on TV right now in terms of sports. I mean,

there's some things that I'll, you know, be catching up on. But, you know, basically of the

big four, at least, there was nothing going on. Or, you know, five of you count soccer as well so uh yeah it's going to be

nice to have baseball back starting uh tomorrow friday uh and yeah looking forward to the second half

of the season which is definitely shipping up to be uh super fun in terms of both real and fantasy baseball

yeah i've been getting you know like a little little jittery a little anxious, just waiting for my fantasy teams to start playing again. So I got in the Roto Wire Online Championship, I'm fifth at the all-star break and the overall. So it's going to be a really fun, really fun, but, you know, kind of stressful, but it's fun, you know, second half. So I haven't achieved achieved anything yet but it's cool to see my name up there for sure yeah definitely um yeah in my home league uh like i mentioned playoff started i guess three weeks ago now uh and i got a first round by so i'm finally going to get started after basically taking like a three weekweek break from fantasy baseball in that league

to finally get started in the playoffs and yeah hoping I can stay alive until the finals.

I've gotten second the last two years and this year I'm hoping to at least finish second

again if possible. So yeah, that's a yeah, that's, uh, it, that's been kind of nerve wracking, just like having this long break and not knowing what to do. Uh, I mean, obviously, obviously I'm participating in my other leagues, but this one's just a little bit more important because it's the home league. Yeah, maybe once the rotations are locked in for next week and while everybody else is still making ads for this week,

you can plan things out and get a little bit of an edge.

Exactly, yeah.

That's kind of the hope to maybe make some crucial pickups

the next couple days to make the team ready for that first match.
